Christ United Fellowship is committed to supporting missions both in our community and throughout the world. Here is a look at some of the missions we support.
A mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination
DeLand Interfaith Kitchen:
An organization that feeds the hungry people of DeLand on a daily basis. Together we join Our Traveling Angels to prepare a meal once a month for those in need
Mission Discretionary Fund:
The Missions Ministry of Christ United Fellowship supports urgent emergency need or special mission-oriented activity of the congregation or local community, to include but not be limited to disaster relief, personal crises, and emergency situations.
- Walter and Diane Kennedy:
Serving as part of The Evangelical Alliance Mission in Papua, Indonesia, since 1984. Walter and Diane have built schools, churches, and community centers. They spread the gospel and work as pastors and educators to help provide for those in need in Papua.
- Aaron and Joanna Choate:
Serving as part of the Wycliffe Bible Translation team in Maruloan, Solomon Islands. The Choates are working to translate the Bible into the language of the Lavukal people. In addition, they support local projects of the people, including bringing literacy to as many as possible.
Journey's End Animal Sanctuary:
Donating newspapers and blankets for animals
Donating food, toiletries, blankets and clothing for the homeless
Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan's Purse):
Filling shoeboxes with children's toiletries, toys, shoes, bible stories, etc for children all over the world
Boosting morale of our deployed troops by sending care packages, toiletries, games, cards/letters, etc.
